Meet Your Guide: Ron Seman — Dubbed “Sage of the Dunes” by AARP

Inventor, ministry leader, and lifelong explorer of both faith and creation, Ron Seman leads our Adventures into Nature field experiences. His life’s journey—from miraculous survival to scientific innovation—reveals a man devoted to discovering God’s design in both technology and the natural world.

After a series of near-death experiences in 1973, a knock on his door from an evangelist changed his life forever. At twelve years old, Ron gave his heart to Jesus Christ and never looked back.

He went on to receive a National Science Foundation grant, study computer science and finite math, and even modify the world’s first chatbot (ELIZA) before most had touched a keyboard.

As a young innovator, Ron founded World Class, Inc., and invented the first automobile navigation system—a groundbreaking use of triangulated cell signals and real video guidance—years before GPS became common.

Raised in the Catholic faith, Ron’s later study of Scripture led him into a deeply personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifelong ministry calling. Since then, he has used his gifts to serve ministries around the world through technology, teaching, and evangelism—helping others encounter the living God for themselves.

Today, he combines faith, science, and creation care through Indiana Dunes Hiking, inspiring others to encounter God in His handiwork. Ron lives in the heart of dunes country, teaching that nature itself testifies to the Creator.
