The Old Ruth

Then
For 128 years, The Old Ruth — originally the Ruth C. Sabin Home — was a sanctuary for elderly Christian widows to enjoy their latter years in vibrant community, surrounded by love and care.
Its mission was simple: live well and finish well.
Most who entered remained for decades, many well over 40 years.
Many lived past 100. The house became its own kind of blue zone of faith, where prayer, daily rhythms, and fellowship made long life possible.
Now
Today, under the stewardship of Jennie & Darrin Riddle, the mission continues — but in a new, culture-shifting way.
You are going to learn how to create your own blue zone in your home and community.
Those widows once came here to die.
You are coming here because you are not ready to. Your race is not fully run. You are destined to rejoin the land of the living.
You are here for a brief stay — a pit stop of sorts — because you are not done.
We will teach you and train you to live a turnaround lifestyle — for life, and for life to the full. We will do it together.
Here, the habits that created health challenges are met head-on, for a full retooling and strengthening of body, soul, mind, and spirit.
The goal? That you may reenter life, resume your calling with purpose and intentionality.
You are a leader. Here, we will help you to lead yourself under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and timeless biblical wisdom — to embrace a turnaround lifestyle for your good and for the good of your whole sphere of influence; to get back up, live well, and finish well.
