Send Your Pastor On
A Wellness Sabbatical

Why They Need This

Pastors pour themselves out endlessly — preaching, counseling, praying, teaching, leading, and standing with their people through life’s hardest moments. What is often unseen is the toll this takes on their bodies and minds. Years of stress raise cortisol, drive inflammation, and weaken the immune system. Chronic fatigue, autoimmune conditions, and even cancer often emerge after long seasons without rest.

And beside every pastor is his wife — often carrying just as much weight. She bears the expectations, the late-night phone calls, the emotional and spiritual load of ministry life. Many pastors’ wives walk through the same strain without ever being given the same space to rest and restore.

Scripture anticipated this truth long before science explained it. “Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor” (1 Timothy 5:17). “Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches” (Galatians 6:6). One of the most powerful ways you can give honor is to care for both your pastor and his wife by sending them for true restoration

This is not a vacation. It is a 30-day Christ-centered sabbatical designed for high-capacity leaders whose faithfulness has left their health and strength depleted.

The goal is simple but profound: break old destructive patterns and establish lifelong habits of wellness that your pastor and his wife can carry back into ministry and life.

Turnaround Lifestyle

  •  Your pastor and his wife will live as private guests in The Old Ruth, a historic mansion set apart for rest and healing. For 2026, housing has already been fully covered through the generosity of donors.

  • They will eat and learn the HEROIC Diet, designed to fight inflammation, strengthen immunity, balance hormones, and restore resilience. They will leave knowing how to cook this way at home.

  • They will receive biblical counseling and prayer ministry, personally and together, anchoring their sabbatical in the Word and presence of Christ.

  • Participate in proven wellness rhythms: far infrared sauna, nature-based experiences, body-care routines, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and more — all aimed at lowering stress, reducing inflammation, and restoring vitality.

  • Engage in songwriting and art, which science shows create new neural pathways critical for breaking destructive cycles and forming new habits. When these practices are filled with Scripture — “set your minds on things above” (Colossians 3:2), “think on these things” (Philippians 4:8) — the impact is multiplied, renewing both brain and spirit.
